365 Cards Challenge - Day 122 - It's a Wrap

Today's challenge at 365 Cards is to use gift wrapping paper on a card...
I've used this gift wrap before for a similar card, this was a good excuse to get it out again...

Yummy Gift Wrap from the $1 rack at corner store!
Stamp is Inkadinkado 97648 'Bad or Fattening'
Nestibilities for the squares and scallop squares.
I have been using gift wrap on cards for years.... a cheap alternative!! The next 2 photos show some Christmas cards I've made in BULK... I made hundreds of the first one... and I gave up on the second one because I couldn't figure out how to embellish!
The red/green/white one just used the Cricut to cut the circles with 'George' and 'Alphalicious' for the scallop. Cuttlebug embossing folder for the tree. (which I call the 'Cheese Tree'!!)
The next cards were done using Cricut 'Beyond Birthdays' cartridge... using both the negative and positive cuts to save paper! Christmas cards are my favourite cards to make!!

  1. Great cards. I had never thought of using wrapping paper on cards but after today and actually loving my card I just might do that.

  2. Your cards are fantastic, great job with the challenge your "bad or fattening" card is a scream, I love that!!!!! Your christmas cards are great, thanks for sharing them.

  3. FABulous cards...love the 1st one...ain't that the truth?!

  4. Wow - 3 fantastic cards, I always love how you use up all of your scaps and think of ways of saving time and money, and using wrapping paper on your cards is a great money saver and great for the enviroment. I never think to use the postive and negative of anything, I usually put them in a box for my niece to play with - I may have to reconsider doing that now. Love your fattening card, the paper is so fitting of the stamp.

  5. Wow - I love them all. Good job!

  6. Great cards, I had never used wrapping paper before this challenge but you have made some stunning ones here

  7. Well done Sharon.. funny you know.. I've been hoarding this one sheet of Xmas paper that is just too stunning to discard.. and now.. I can see the perfect use for it * giggles * and hell yeah.. have 10 months to make them even lols...

Might just have to do this.. lols.. Thanks again girlfriend for the inspiration .. you're beaut!
